Conduit 2 falls back – to Winter 2011

Sega’s Conduit 2 might be available to play at PAX this weekend, but those of us not in Seattle will have to wait until Winter 2011 to play the Wii first-person shooter.

The sequel to The Conduit was originally slated to hit stores on Nov. 2, the same day as the GoldenEye 007 for Wii. Not exactly the smartest day to be releasing any other FPS, but especially not for the same platform.

It’s a distinct possibility Sega is fortuitously moving Conduit 2′s store date to dodge a release duel. Mostly to avoid being pummeled like so many Russian soldiers at the judo-chopping hands of the remake of one of the greatest FPS titles in history. Not really a bad move.

Like GoldenEye, Conduit 2 will be playable using both MotionPlus and a Wii Classic controller. Unlike GoldenEye, the controller will be nowhere near as dramatic or shiny.
